Spirit Guide Oils

Natural Magick Spirit Guide oils are made with reverence and research to be pleasing devotional blends for the animals or beings they are named for. I research legend and lore, and try to use oils of plants that represent the guide, what it does and what it smells like. The Natural Magick process of using planetary and elemental influences, correspondence, and high quality ingredients is especially appropriate for invoking the nature of your guide.

Anoint yourself to attune to your totem, or pour into offering bowls or aromatherapy lamps, or anoint statues or fetish objects.

These oils are not made as fakey perfumes with marketable names. Fox really does smell wild and clever, Bear is somber and impressive, Angel is ethereal and bright, Dragon smells like smoke and scales.

Spirit Guide oils are in beautiful round 1/2 ounce bottles, and most are blended in 100% fractionated coconut oil, so with any care they should last a very long time. They are priced according to the ingredients most resembling the guide so named.

Cat oil

There are so many devotees to the Cat spirit guide that it's difficult to believe that Natural Magick Shop waited so long to formulate this devotional oil. Cat has powers of invisibility, stealth, merriment, persuasion, and the ability to see into the dark, among others. Cat spirit guide is subject to the goddess Bast and these two formulations are linked. Cat is one of the most accessible Spirit Guides to those who seek the ways of Magick. Cat is known to be a most willing familiar to aid the Witch or Wizard in spell-casting, intercession with the Spirit World, and spy work. Oh, and they are just so darned cute!

My Cat oil was largely inspired by the Natural Magick Shop kitty, Daphne. A very complex cat, Scorpio/Libra cusp, Daffy Girl was silly, bitchy, loving, mysterious, deadly, playful, fierce, independent, scary smart and hauntingly beautiful. Wild strain healthy to the end, Daphne was the most Cat-like Cat you could ever meet. I am so glad to have spent 15 years with her, and if cats really do have nine lives, I hope she chooses one of her next to spend with me again.

Cats do not have much scent, so this oil is gentle, with the base note of Myrrh (M-rrrr! in cat language), and after it settles down, has the scent of clean, health cat fur, though I doubt it would make even the most allergic sneeze! It has Catnip essential oil, of course, but even the most Catnip fiendish kitties will not react to it the way they do the Catnip herb. This is because the compound that trips out kitteh, Valerianic acid, while present in the herb, is a water-soluble compound, so it is not present in the distilled essential oil. A few older cats who have been regularly indulged with the herb will make the connection between the essential oil fragrance and the active ingredient, but MOST cats will not mob you if you are wearing Cat oil ;)

Cat is an Elemental Animal of Earth, and partakes of the Planetary energy of Saturn, with a secondary Planetary rule of Venus. Cat is potioned on Saturdays when the Moon is waning, shaped like a Cat's eye.
