Perfumes

While I have a deep appreciation for the true essential oils of highest purity and quality, I also love just-for-fun synthetic and fashion perfumes! In this section you will find several categories of perfumes. These will always be labeled so you know exactly what you are getting. Enjoy buying these from a Witch who really knows how to tell the difference! There are a lot of really bad products out there, so I hope to save you from synthetics that give you a headache, smell nothing like the real thing, or will drive your friends, family, and loved ones out of your orbit! Essential oil purists and chemically sensitive folks will want to avoid most of these.

These are the different categories of perfumes that I carry:

SINGLE SCENT FRAGRANCES. These are synthetic oil fragrances which mimic the fragrances of a particular plant or flower. Some flower or fruit fragrances are simply impossible or frighteningly expensive to distil from natural sources. For these we make do with the chemists' arts. I do my best to source the products that actually do smell like the plant or flower they claim to mimic! As a gardener and certifiable Botany Geek, I really know what the genuine article is supposed to smell like. Some single-scent fragrances, like Gardenia are fun to wear as perfumes, and so I package these in both purse roller bottles and refill sized vials which you can use to either refill your vial or use to make your own potions. Some, like Watermelon or Hyacinth, are rarely used alone as perfumes, so they are sold in vials for your perfume concoctions. I do not recommend carrying vials of perfumes or fragrances in your purse! They always seem to come open and leak once you have forgotten about them!

PERFUME FRAGRANCES. These are synthetic oil fragrances that are for fashion perfume use. They are usually blends of many different synthetic fragrances, blends of synthetics and real essential oils, or single-scent fragrances entirely of human creation. I package these in roller bottles and refill-size vials. Again, I do not recommend carrying vials of perfumes or fragrances in your purse!

ESSENTIAL OIL PERFUMES. These are oil based perfumes which are either single scent or my own blends of true essential oils. I package them into purse sized roller vials. They are diluted with jojoba oil or a jojoba/almond oil blend to be safe for using directly on your skin.

SPRAY PERFUMES. The Sticky Fingers line of rock n roll perfumes is yet another result of my friend Otter's muse superpowers. Otter once had a small rock n roll boutique store, and he came up with the idea of having me invent a line of just-for-fun signature perfumes for the rock n roll lifestyle. I was so excited! After religiously adhering to the purity of crafting with true essential oils, now I could cut loose and just have fun! These are blends of synthetic fragrance oils, synthetics and essential oils, alcoholic beverages, and/or pure essential oils in an alcohol base. The alcohol dissolves the oils so they can be sprayed on. Sticky Fingers perfumes are inspired by and dedicated to legendary rocker musicians, their groupies, and the rock n roll lifestyle! Enjoy them for daytime wear or nighttime clubbing and partying. Forgive me if they make you dance or play Air Guitar!

SOLID PERFUMES. Some synthetic or natural perfumes are best in solid form. Generally they are in a semi-solid thick creamy or waxy base that you can spread on with your finger in very small amounts.

Ali's Secret. Ali's Secret is a gay man's perfume. It really does seem to attract queer action. This is a formula that me and my dear friend Ali co-conspired on.   $9 1/6 oz. roller bottle   more info... Amber, Amber True essential oil blend in jojoba. I am very proud of my Amber True, which is 100% plant derived real essential oils, resinoids and absolutes diluted into coconut oil.   $13 1/6 oz. roller bottle   more info...
Amber, Medium Amber perfume oil. My Medium Amber is delicious and tasteful, and a bit more extroverted than the White Amber. It is great alone or mixed into your own blend. This perfume oil comes from a highly esteemed family perfumery in India. Both men and women wear this perfume very well.

Amber, Paste Amber perfume. Of all the synthetic-based Amber fragrances, this paste is my favorite. I get it in bulk from my family perfume supplier in India, and I have to melt it to pot it up into these cute little 1/4 oz. jars. After that it takes up to a month to re-solidify.   $15 1/4 oz. jar   more info...
Amber, Red Amber perfume oil. This Red Amber is sold to me as a "Red Musk" but most folks think it is an Amber more than a Musk, and I agree. This is a very strong, assertive and sexy Amber, which I usually wear if I am going dancing and clubbing all night. This is another great fragrance that will kibosh even strong dancing type B.O.

Amber, White Amber perfume oil. White Amber is my most popular perfume oil, hands down. It is very light and airy for an Amber, and some girls just go nuts over this stuff. They must have it or they feel naked. I don't know what to say, it is a high quality synthetic from a family perfumery in India. There are many products out on the market that include this family's White Amber as an ingredient, from many high dollar commercial perfumes to "unscented" laundry products!

Bay Rum essential oil perfume. Bay Rum perfumes are a traditional Caribbean men's cologne. All are based either on a West Indian or Jamaican "Bay Rum" berry (Pimenta racemosa) or they are a very different formula of Bay Laurel and Rosemary soaked in Rum. I believe that the former is the traditional because the plants are tropical in nature and maritime trade goods in history.   $11 1/6 oz. roller bottle   more info... Bint el Medina perfume oil. Bint el Medina is made by the same Indian perfumery manufacturers that make the much-loved White Amber, and many of the other fragrances in the Natural Magick perfume section. It is a soft, sweet, powdery and romantic ladies' scent. Definitely a throwback fragrance, this is one of my all-time favorites.

Cleopatra perfume oil. A very feminine and traditional ladies fragrance, Cleopatra is made by my favorite Indian family perfume manufacturers. This is a fairly complex scent, high frequency and floral in nature, and it is not for blending, but should be worn as is.

Frangipani perfume oil. Frangipani is a tropical flower with the sweetest musky scent. They are a Plumeria species, and versions of this fragrance are often also sold as Plumeria. I can't tell much difference between Frangipani and Plumeria flowers when I've smelled them in a tropical greenhouse, but I wanted my Frangipani fragrance to smell like these flowers.

Heather perfume oil. This Heather is a lovely green floral bouquet. But truthfully I have never smelled to fresh Heather plant or flowers, so I'm flying blind here. It comes from a supplier whose other synthetic fragrances have been very true-to-nature.

Heliotrope perfume oil. Heliotrope flowers have a delicious warm, sunny vanilla-ish aroma, and this fragrance oil does a good approximation of the real thing. As far as I know, there is no true essential oil or absolute of Heliotrope, so this mid grade product is good enough.

Honeysuckle perfume oil. There are no true essential oils of the Japanese Honeysuckle flower, so this delicious mimic will have to do. It comes from a high-quality supplier that usually just sells essential oils. In addition to being a great fashion fragrance on its own, Honeysuckle oil is often used in magickal formulations for money and success.

Jasmine, Real Jasmine Absolute, 10% in Jojoba. I have yet to meet a synthetic Jasmine that didn't give me a "Third Eye Headache," the icky ache in your forehead that many people get from synthetic fragrances. So for this I will stick to the Real Thing. My Jasmine is a true absolute of Jasmine, Jasminium grandiflorum diluted in fractionated coconut oil enough to be a affordable as a single-scent perfume.

Lilac perfume oil. Being a Southern girl, I am not very familiar with what real Lilacs should smell like, but I am told that this one does a good job. It is very feminine, a little musky, and sweet. Lilac works well as a personal perfume by itself, or in blends of your own creation.

Lily of the Valley perfume oil. There are lots of really bad Lily of the Valley synthetics out there. They give me the synthetic "third eye headache." This one is the best I have found. Lily of the Valley is a very difficult, elusive flower scent to approximate. Without going to a much more expensive product, this one does just fine.

Lotus perfume oil. This Lotus is a synthetic, but a favorite among my rock n roll girlfriends. It is a high note floral with faint musk undertones. It doesn't smell much like the true Lotus absolutes I have smelled (Indian Pink Lotus and White Lotus) so I would consider this one a fun fragrance on its own or for blending into fashion perfumes, and not a spiritual substitute for Lotus.

Love Daddy perfume/essential oil blend in jojoba. I created this mens oil-based perfume for my father. It has elements of a Bay Rum, but it is much more complex. This is a blend of true essential oils and absolutes and some synthetic fragrances. Love Daddy is not looking for love, Love Daddy is the source of love! I hope your own Love Daddy enjoys it!   $11 1/6 oz. roller bottle   more info...
Majmua perfume oil. Majmua is a trademark perfume oil of my favorite Indian family perfume manufacturers. This is a man's fragrance, and it is one of the way over the top full, exotic, musky, sweet, powerful Indian-type perfumes. A little goes a long way! Majmua is another good choice if you want to smell good all night long no matter how much you sweat while dancing under that mirrored ball!

Mogra perfume oil. Mogra is marketed as an "Indian Jasmine" by my favorite Indian perfume wholesaler. It is a synthetic that has a Jasmine-like note, but it doesn't give me a headache like most sharp-scented fake Jasmines. This one is deeper and fuller, and softer in fragrance. It is definitely a sweet one, so wear it if you are feeling extra girly! (Or if you WANT to feel really girly)

Musk, Black Musk perfume oil. Black Musk is another trademark perfume oil from my Indian family manufacturers of fashion fragrances. They market it to African Americans and it does seem to smell better on Black people. I would consider it a men's fragrance, but it also blends well with more feminine scents if you want a very voluptuous ladies perfume.

Musk, Egyptian Musk perfume oil. Egyptian Musk is a standard Musk for both sexes. It is passionate and luscious, and worn alone it can be very assertive. People will know you are on the prowl!. To me, it is way too much by itself. I use Egyptian Musk in small amounts in blends, unless I really want to get my Groupie on!

Musk, Himalayan Musk perfume oil. Himalayan Musk is a very light Musk with an indescribably mysterious note. It is a good perfume for either women of men, and almost everybody seems to like it, even if they hate synthetic fragrances as a rule.

Musk, White Musk perfume oil. White Musk is very delicate and mild in scent, so I use a lot when I am wearing it by itself. It is quite civilized and prim compared to other Musks. If you naturally have a stronger personal body odor, you will hardly notice it.

Rain perfume oil. There are a number of versions of Rain out there, but this is the one that will always be the Real Thing to me. It is a synthetic, but this version gives me the lowest synthetic reaction. Rain is a very old-fashioned fragrance, so it is going to make people nostalgic.   $9 1/6 oz. roller bottle   more info... Rose, Real Rose Absolute 10% in jojoba. There is no way to overestimate the value of real Rose scent for harmonizing, calming, relaxing, and simply enjoying life. Here I have taken the very pricey true Rose absolute and diluted it enough (now in fractionated coconut oil) to be affordable, safe to apply directly to the skin, and easy to apply. I very often use this diluted form in my own potions, because sometimes you don't even need a whole drop in a 1/2 oz. formula.

Violet perfume oil. There is no real Violet flower essential oil. The elusive and evocative fragrance of the flower simply will not be captured. There are Violet leaf absolutes, but they do not smell like the flower. So we must rely on a synthetic approximation for perfumes.
