Bath
Herbs
All
bath herbs are ritually crafted in phases of the
Moon on days of the week appropriate to their
intention.
The herbs come in a cello bag with two cups per
bag of beautiful fragrant herbs, Each package
contains enough herbs for two or three baths.
To prepare, boil at least a quart of water. Fill
the reusable muslin bag (included) about half full
with herbs. Turn off the heat of the pot and throw
in the bag of herbs. Cover, and allow to steep for
a good 15 minutes, while you draw the bath water.
Add the tea to your bath, and use the muslin bag of
herbs as a washcloth. This is an ancient technique
for ritual bathing that fills your bath with both
the essential oils and water-soluble compounds of
the herbs. You can make a bath that is hot or cool
this way. Especially recommended for sensitive
skin.
Each herb is two cups' worth and
costs $6
Beauty.
How about that! The herbs used magically in olden
times for beauty are often the same ones used in
modern skin-care products for antioxidants, toners,
emolliants, antibacterials, and
relaxation.
$6
Full
Moon. This bath is made on the night of the
Full Moon to prepare for any Full Moon rite, or as
a celebration in and of itself. Silvery, white,
soothing ingredients like Hops flowers, Marshmallow
root, and Jasmine flowers create a dreamy, mild
smelling bath.
$6
Healing.
A general-prupose blend for what ails you, mind,
body or soul. $6
Lucky.
This is a very unusual formulation that I am very
proud of. My belief is that good luck and
serendipity are the natural states of existence.
Many "lucky" herbs also have unhexing uses. So the
Orange peel and Vetiver serve both purposes here,
and they smell great!
$6
Faery.
"Faery folks are in old oaks," the saying goes, so
we include the wonderfully grounding oak moss herb
along with herbs that are reputed to attract
faeries or help one to see
them.
$6
Happiness.
Magic and medicine meet in this formula. St.
Johnswort, Lavendar and Basil are included for
their biochemical influences, as well as
traditional magical use to combat "melancholy."
Sunflower petals are added for their bright
sunniness.
$6
Love.
Sweet, flowery, romantic and spicy! And of course
one of the most popular
blends.
$6
Money.
This is not the most beautiful blend to look at, so
you will have to smell the green and golden scent
to understand why it works.$6
Peace.
This bath with Hops and Catnip is the ultimate
personal unwind experience, but of course people
will use it to promote societal peace in their
magic. $6
Purification.
This is a traditional recipe based on the Key of
Solomon recipe. I didn't understand why this
formula featured Fennel seeds (a digestive aid)
until I learned that they are used to purify the
liver. They smell like licorice to most people so
if you hate licoricey smell, ask and I will make
you an alternative formula. $6
Protection.
Many magical protection herbs are used in
aromatherapy and herbal medicine to increase
alertness and mental function, so we use these for
this bath. Be safe and aware! $6
Witch
Power. A very potent and spicy blend perfect
for ritual bathing before magic workings. Galanga
root and rosemary are included for both psychic
power and magical protection. $6
Psychic.
Made on a Monday or Wednesday closest to the Full
Moon, this is a blend of herbs traditionally used
to stimulate intuition and third eye activity. $6
